Adeline Louise Poirier

Adeline Louise Poirier of Chetek, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021.  She was born on August 28, 1927, in Dickenson, North Dakota, the daughter of Albert and Minnie Poirier.

Adeline was a loving and compassionate person who loved life and all God’s creatures, especially cats. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul.  Adaline loved relaxing in her chair with her puppies, Bailey and Daisy. She had a love for her caregiver, Melissa Lewallen, and truly enjoyed being with her these past 14 years. In the last year Adeline acquired another special love. That was for Missy’s granddaughter, Raegan Rae. She called her, her little dolly.

The relationship she had with her brother, Robert Poirier, was not like any other. Adeline was a wonderful big sister that loved him a lot and she always had his back. When she would see her family, her whole face would light up and the time would just be lost.

Most of all she loved and adored her dolls, and teddy bears. They were her world. You could see the love radiate on her face as she would proudly show them to each, and every visitor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Alice Poirier and Rose Coleman, brothers Jack, Benjamin, Francis, Harold, and Ray. She is survived by her brother Robert Poirier, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The funeral service for Adeline will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek.  Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until the time of service.  She will be laid to rest at the Pleasant Plain Cemetery, rural Chetek.  Pallbearers will be Ken Grease, Charles Richards, Troy Franzen, Rick Lewallen, and Adam Shimko.
