Adeline Laverne (Newman) Reinolt

February 16, 1919 — January 22, 2017

Adeline L. Reinolt, age 97 of Chetek passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Dallas Care and Rehab Center in Dallas, Wisconsin.  She was born in Sioux Creek, WI February 16, 1919 to Julius and Elsie Newman.

Adeline married Edward A. Reinolt on April 4, 1939 in Anoka, Minnesota.  Adeline and Edward farmed in the town of Dovre until Edwards passing on December 8, 1960.  After her husband death, she worked in Chetek at A.B.C. for several years.  Adeline was a dedicated wife and mother.  She also worked hard on the farm with her husband and raised three children.  She loved gardening, knitting, crocheting afghans, cooking and baking for her family.  Birthdays and holidays were special family get togethers.  She moved to Eau Claire in 1972 and worked at The Clairmont as a nurse’s aide.  In 1990 Adeline moved to Lone Oak Housing in Chetek and worked as a nurse aide at Knapp Haven Nursing Home.  She loved to help her neighbors at Lone Oak and bake cookies and share them.  She loved being with her family.  Adeline is a member of Dovre Lutheran Church and in her younger years was active with the woman’s group of the church.

Adeline is survived by her children; Merlin (Linda) Reinolt of New Auburn, Ardys Wigdahl of Colfax, grandchildren; Mark (Wendi) Reinolt, Stacy (Curt Gendron) Reinolt, Andy Reinolt, great-grandchildren; Kateland and Colin Reinolt.  Also survived by her niece, Karen (Mike) Maierle and her children Greta and Alison, nephews; Greg (Roxanne) Hoople and Holt Holten.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward, son Glen Richard Reinolt, son-in-law Keith Wigdahl, sisters JoAnn Hoople, Gail Hoagland Mielcarek, infant brother Paul Holten and nephew James Hoagland, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. at Dovre Lutheran Church on Friday, January 27, 2017 with Pastor Guy Redfield officiating.  Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service at church for a visitation.  Please join the family for a luncheon and continued fellowship at the church following the service.  Adeline will be laid to rest beside her husband in the spring in Dovre Lutheran Cemetery.
