Alice Jane (Hill) Hart

Alice Jane Hart, 69, of Chetek; passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 13, 2012, at her home with her husband at her side.
Alice was born January 22, 1943 in Eau Claire, WI the daughter of Elmer and Edna (Erickson) Hill. She was raised in the Colfax, WI area, where she spent most of her life. She married Duane Hart on January 27, 1962 at Colfax Methodist Church. They moved to Chetek, WI in January 1979.
Alice and Duane were married for 50 years. Alice loved sewing, needle point, stamping, gardening, and visiting. She worked at Walmart for 15 years until she had heart in surgery 2004 and then retired.
Alice leaves to celebrate her memory: husband, Duane Hart, Chetek, Wisconsin; children: Mary Ann (Rhalen) Mertz, Hallsville, TX; Rod (Debbie) Hart, Viola, MN; Pam (Paul) Olson, Duluth, MN; Audra Bradley, Shell Lake, WI; Larry (Kathy) Aspen , Osseo, WI; Four grandchildren, Four Step grandchildren, Eight step great grandchildren, three step great great grandchildren, siblings: Nancy (Dick) Johnson, Skip Hill, Mary (Don) Fennie, John (Nancy) Hill and many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
A “Celebration of Life” for Alice will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Chetek on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Tylan Dalrymple officiating.
Alice’s family will greet visitors on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 5 – 7 P.M. at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek and again one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
Following the service the family would like to invite their guests to join them for fellowship and refreshments in the church fellowship hall. Alice will be laid to rest at Hill Grove Cemetery in Colfax at a later date. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brenden Mertz, Kiefer Olson, Megan Mertz, Sannie Olson and Larry Aspen.
