Anna L. Larson Taylor, 79, of Chetek, died peacefully at the Knapp Haven Nursing Home in Chetek on Friday, December 16, 2011 with her loving family at her side.
Anna was born on September 9, 1932 to William C. Plant and Isabel (Pederson) Plant in Lander, Wyoming. Anna grew up south of Sand Creek, Wisconsin on County Highway 64. She graduated from Colfax High School. She married Robert J. Larson in September of 1951 in Colfax, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death in June of 1991. In November of 1996 she married Nevin O. Taylor in Chetek. He preceded her in death in June of 2010.
Anna enjoyed driving school bus in the Chetek area for many years. She drove school bus for Bud France, Harvey Melgaard, Wayne Ehrhard and John Erb. She was very crafty and made a variety of things with her hands, she enjoyed yard work and flower gardening. Anna was most known for her love of Rosemaling. She enjoyed giving her paintings as gifts to many.
She leaves to celebrate her memory: three sons, Barry (Ruth) Larson, of New Auburn, WI, Larry (Christine) Larson, of Chetek, WI, Jeffrey (Patty) Larson, of New Auburn, WI; one daughter, Diane (John) Heppner, of Chetek; three grandsons: Travis Larson, Todd Larson and Kurt Candler; one step-grandson, Brian (Andrea) Sagedal; one granddaughter, Tara (Andrew) Robinson; one step-granddaughter, Emily (John) Davis; three step-great grandsons and four step-great granddaughters; three sisters-in-law; one brother in-law and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Forrest Frami and Edwin Frami and one sister Willyn (Plant) Nelson.
The funeral service for Anna will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Christ Lutheran Church in Chetek. Rev. Tylan Dalrymple will officiate. The family will greet visitors at the church from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service at 7:00 P.M. The family wishes to invite their guests for fellowship and refreshments following the funeral at the church. She will be laid to rest at the Dovre Lutheran Cemetery.
