Anna M. (Vodicka) Soukup

Anna M. Soukup, 87 of Chetek passed away Monday, May 1, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Chetek. She was born January 8, 1930 in Merrilan, Wisconsin the daughter of James and Mary Vodicka.
Anna married John Soukup June 10, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. They moved to the Bear Lake area in 1957 and owned/operated a small dairy farm there. Together they raised 2 children where by Anna was a loving mother and homemaker. For a short time, she also worked for Carlson Chicken Factory in Chetek and was an avid gardener. John and Anna moved to Chetek in 2006 and resided at Pelican Place Assisted Living then Knapp Haven Nursing Home. Her husband John passed away in 2010.
Anna is survived by her daughter Mary (David) Taft of Chetek, grandchildren; Amber (Chris) Ceravo, Rachael (Nate) Pintens, Eric Taft, Kelly (Danielle Fregine) Taft, 6 great grandchildren and brother, James Vodicka. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Anton.
A graveside service for Anna will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday May 6, at Twin Lakes Cemetery in Sampson Township.
