Annette Ypma (Sciaraffa), born on August 9, 1967, in Oak Park, IL, was a symbol of resilience and positivity. Married to the love of her life, Doug Ypma, for the past 23 years. She was a beloved mother to Cassandra Kilgore, Sara Swint, and Chelcie Sieler, stepmother to Scott Ypma, and a cherished grandmother to nine grandchildren. Her life was a vibrant tapestry of love, strength, and perseverance, deeply influencing those around her.

Her journey, though fraught with challenges, was a testament to her incredible strength and courage. Facing serious health battles, including a courageous fight against cancer and the arduous journey through chemotherapy, Annette demonstrated remarkable strength and determination. Her ability to overcome life’s hurdles was not just inspiring but also a source of strength for her loved ones. Her smile was infectious and her spirit lit up the room.

Annette was also known for her wisdom and insightful advice, extending her nurturing influence beyond her immediate family.

Her sisters, Loretta Hetke and Arlene Hrdlicka, along with her entire family, deeply valued her presence, laughter, and support. She will be missed dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Funeral Home at 5:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM and last until the time of the service.
