Arlyne D. (Mead) Olson

Arlyne D. Olson, 95 of Chetek, passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Dallas Care & Rehab. Arlyne was born July 25, 1921 to Vernon and Inez (Flanders) Mead in Webster, SD.
She loved the outdoors including camping and swimming. She also loved polka dancing, two steps, etc. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She retired from General Electric, St. Paul, MN after 25 years of service.
Arlyne leaves to celebrate her memory her children, Darla (Jack) Colvard of Chetek and Dawn (Rich) Walker of Hugo, MN., grandchildren Cary Hernandez of Detroit Lakes, MN, Cindy Farrell of Lindstrom, MN, Joleen (Chris) Clark of Reedsburg, WI, Scott Walker of Shakopee, MN, Steve (Penny) Walker of Lino Lake, MN, Jim (Jayna) Colvard of Chetek, WI, Jessica Colvard of Port Hueneme, CA and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Darwin Olson, brothers; Jerel (Rosalie), Dallas, Neil (Bea) Mead and one sister; Delowell Mead.
A memorial service for Arlyne will take place at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Chetek United Methodist Church with Pastor Changki Kim officiating. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place in Langford, South Dakota.
The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
