Audrey Lou (Holten) Lundmark

Audrey Lou Lundmark, age 85, of Chetek passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Knapp Haven Nursing Home.

On April 29, 1929, Audrey Lou was born in Chetek, Wisconsin to the late Edwin and Dorothy (Regli) Holten.  She graduated from Chetek High School in 1946, and went on the attend teachers college in Superior where she met Paul Lundmark.  They married June 17, 1950 in Chetek, Wisconsin.   While Paul was in the service at Camp Pendelton, California,  Audrey taught elementary school there for one year, then moved to Manitowoc for one year before returning back to Chetek in 1954.  Audrey was the kindergarten teacher in Chetek until her retirement in 1987.

Audrey lived on Chetek Lake where she enjoyed fishing, especially fly fishing for bluegills.  She loved to dance, knit sweaters and was an excellent golfer.  Paul and Audrey wintered in Leesburg, Florida for 20 years after their retirement.

Audrey is survived by her husband Paul, 2 children; Keith (Sandra) of Tomahawk, Wisconsin and Karen (Don) Wolf of Andover, Minnesota, 3 grandchildren; Jacob (Camille) of Burnsville, Minnesota, Zachary (Erin) of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Noah of Fargo, North Dakota.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at the funeral home with Pastor Carrie Hamm officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service.  A private interment of Audrey’s cremains will take place at a later date.
