Barbara Ann (Bethel) Folz

Barbara Ann (Bethel) Folz, age 82, passed away on February 9, 2025, in Bloomer, Wisconsin at Dove Healthcare Nursing Home.

Barbara was born on November 7, 1942, in Chetek, Wisconsin to George and Anna (Stana) Bethel.

Barb worked for many years as a waitress and cook at Dale's in Chetek. She had a passion for crafting, creating custom greeting cards for every occasion. A dedicated member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, she was actively involved in church life for many years. Barb and Merlyn loved attending sporting events to support their nieces, nephews, Daria, and Joey, and cherished playing cards with friends.

When remembered, Barb is often thought of for her kindness, genuine warmth, and the care she showed to others—and, of course, her unforgettable smile.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Merlyn Folz, parents, George and Anna Bethel, and step-father, Jim Peterson.

Barb is survived by her many nieces and nephews, "adopted daughter", Wendy (Al) Wold Deibele and their children, Daria and Joey, Toni and Travis Kellen and their children Sonrisa, Brant, Aaron, Renner, and Bennett, as well as many other loving family and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chetek, Wisconsin, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass. The family requests no flowers, please.
