Bertha (Kitelinger) Hoesly of Chetek, WI died Monday after 91 years of life on August 13, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born on January 14th, 1921, in Jackson county, one of ten children to Martin and Louisa (Yoss) Kitelinger. Bertha was united in marriage to Harold Peter Hoesly February 21st, 1941 in Janesville, WI.
For many years Bertha worked at the Parker Pen Company in Janesville, WI.
She enjoyed weekends and later retirement in northern Wisconsin at Hoesly’s Hideaway in Chetek while Lake Placid, FL was the hideaway from snow in winter. She canned, knitted and was a hard-to-beat Euchre and Cribbage player.
Bertha is survived by one daughter Patricia Klatt, and one son Gerald (Helen) Hoesly both of Chetek; three grandchildren, Kristina Zengaffinen of Chetek, Shiloh (Mark) Cabanowski of Boca Raton, FL, and Jeremy (Amy) Hoesly of Glidden; three great-grandchildren, Cyan Zengaffinen and Taylor Hoesly of Chetek, and Scott Powers of Glidden; two siblings Jane Allen of Arkansas and Curtis Kitelinger of Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Allen, Dale and Linton Kitelinger; sisters Clara Jordan, Margaret Gifford, Alice Mackie and Marcia Flood.
Services will be held in Janesville at Milton Lawns Memorial Park on Saturday, August 25th, 11:00 am in the chapel and will be followed by a get together of friends and relatives at the home of her granddaughter. In lieu of Flowers please remember a loved one.
