Bjorn David Larson

Bjorn Larson, 40, of New Auburn, WI, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011. Bjorn was born on December 14, 1970 in Menomonie, Wisconsin the son of Brian and Cheryl (Cox) Larson.   He attended school in Elmwood, Wisconsin and graduated from Elmwood High School in 1989. Bjorn then attended the Chippewa Valley Technical College earning a degree in Police Science in 1991.

He was married to Mindi Ward on January 25, 1997 in Eau Claire, WI. After their marriage they made their home in Elmwood until 1999, then moving to Prescott, WI. In 2008 the family relocated to the Chetek area where he was employed at Parker-Hannifin as a Production Supervisor.

The most important part of Bjorn’s life was his family. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, ice fishing, trapping, Atving and any outdoor activities. He loved spending time with his children doing outdoor activities.

Bjorn leaves to celebrate his memory, wife; Mindi Larson, New Auburn, his children; Olivia, Lizzy and Bernie Larson, New Auburn, parents; Brian and Cheryl Larson, Elmwood, brothers; Lonnie (Jenny) Larson, Mondovi, Addam Larson, Menomonie, sister; Erika (Ethan) Riggin, Stewartville, MN, brother-in-law; Bobby (Tracy) Patten, Thornton, IA, sisters-in-law; Whitney (Josh) Newsome, Roseville, CA, Mary (Brad) Thompson, Clear Lake, IA, father-in-law; Bob (Sue) Patten, Lake Mills, IA, mother-in-law; Pamela (Mike) McKiness, Clear Lake, IA, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends.

Funeral Service for Bjorn will be held at the Cornerstone Christian Church, 310 West Polk Avenue, Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Thursday, August 18 at 11:00 A.M. The family will greet visitors at the Burnham-Ours Funeral Home in Chetek on Wednesday, from 4 – 8 P.M. and again at the church from 9:30 A.M until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. He will be laid to rest at Manning Cemetery in Readstown, Wisconsin.  Casketbearers will be Bernie Larson, Aaron Miley, Scott Brownell, Bill Gillgenbach, Lonnie Larson, Addam Larson and Bobby Patten.  Honorary Casketbearers will be Lizzy Larson, Olivia Larson, Erika Riggin, Mary Thompson, Whitney Newsome, Brad Thompson and Ethan Riggin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
