Bryce Louis Bronstad, age 78, passed away on November 26, 2024, in Chetek, Wisconsin.
Bryce was born to Alvin and Lillian Bronstad on September 29, 1946, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
Bryce had a passion for his motorcycle and cherished the open road. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting and exploring nature. He loved listening to music and had a special talent for playing the spoons to his favorite tunes. Bryce also enjoyed playing cards, particularly Texas Hold'em. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family.
Bryce retired after a long and successful career with Payne & Dolan and Operating Engineers Local 139, where he worked as an asphalt plant foreman. He was incredibly proud of his work, often sharing stories about his time in the industry and his deep knowledge of asphalt. His pride in his career was especially evident when he celebrated his remarkable 50th anniversary as a Union member. He was a great guy and will be deeply missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Lillian Bronstad, his siblings, Elno, Ideen, Corrine, Lyle, Roger, Doug, Herman, Basil, Kenny, Sharon, and Dennis, and granddaughter, Rachel Zeimet.
Bryce is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine Bronstad, children, Denise (Todd) Husom, Marie (Ross) Stenjem, and Bryce (Wendy) Bronstad, grandchildren, Sarah Zeimet and Mason Zeimet, and great-grandchildren, Olivia and Benicio.
There are no public services scheduled, a private family burial will be held at a later date.
The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
