Carol Ann (Willhite) Mitchell

Carol Ann Mitchell peacefully passed away on May 27, 2024, in Marshfield, WI, with her loved ones by her side. Carol was born to Martin and Donna (Wood) Willhite on December 27, 1953, in St. Paul, MN. She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Carol had a passion for gardening and took immense joy in caring for her plants, decorating them with butterflies and angels. You could always find her at the local coffee shop with an extra dry caramel cappuccino and color-changing polish on her nails. Her favorite place in the world was wherever her children and grandchildren were. She cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will last forever.

Carol was married to John Mitchell for 49 years before his passing on November 24, 2023. They were married on March 7, 1974, and she celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2024 with loved ones. John was laid to rest at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery where Carol will join him.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Donna, sister, Janet, and daughter, April.

Carol is survived by her son, Matt (Theresa) Michell, grandchildren, Jordan Mitchell, Hunter (Mia) Mitchell, Tiffany (Ryne) Cullen, Abby Billon, Mariah Mitchell, Melanie (John) Delimat, and Wesley Billon, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. They were the light of her life, and she took pride in watching them grow and thrive.

Carol's warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love will forever be remembered. May she find eternal peace with her husband, John, and daughter, April.

Family will be holding a Celebration of Life at Chetek Lanes on Friday, June 21 from 10 am - 2 pm.
