Catherine A. "Kitty" Flor

Catherine Anne “Kitty” Flor, 43 of Chetek.  God came to bring Kitty home on January 18, 2014 after a fourteen year struggle with pain caused by a Chiari Malformation.  She was born on April 10, 1970 the daughter of Butch and Barb Flor and her big brother John.  She was raised in Chetek, graduated from Chetek High School and the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN and set out to see the world.

Kitty was a dynamic woman with a true love of life.  She had a fabulous sense of humor and extraordinary way with words.  She enjoyed downhill skiing having lived in Colorado; time spent on the Chetek Lakes; volunteering for people less fortunate than herself and her beloved dog Jezebel.

She was a great baker and always delighted the family with her birthday cakes and holiday treats.  Kitty spent time these past years writing and painting.  Much of her art work fills the homes of her family.

Kitty had a deep love and enjoyment of her family.  She gave so much of herself to those she loved.  Kitty touched so many lives and always left a lasting impression.  Those remaining to carry on her memory are her parents, Butch and Barb; brother, John and his wife Julie; niece Hanna; nephews Hunter, Jason and Jacob; aunt, Jackie Brohman; uncle, J.J. Flor; as well as many other close family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home.  Father Gerard Willger officiating.  Family and friends may gather from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the Service.  Interment will be private.
