Charles A. Gardner 62 of Sioux Creek Township suddenly passed away Sunday March 13, 2016. He was born August 15, 1953 in Aitkin, Minnesota the son of Norval and Dorothea (Turner) Gardner.
Charles went to Chetek High School and started working as a mechanic at a young age. He continued his mechanic work throughout his life, always helping people in need of a repair. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, truck mud racing, 4 wheeling and snowmobiling. Charlie was a “regular” with the coffee crew at Norm’s Open Kitchen Restaurant and Bob’s Grill. Charlie will be missed for his laughter, prankster jokes and loving humor.
Charles is survived by Agnes Patterson (wife); 2 children, Jennifer (Marcus) Hansen of South Carolina and John (Cheryl) Gardner of New Auburn, 8 grandchildren; Levi, Matthew, Michael, Marrisa, Noah, Miranda, Michael, Mariah, 2 brothers; Jim (Sandi) Gardner, Kenneth (Missy) Gardner; sister; Barb (Craig) Widiker all of Chetek. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and all the mud racing family. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Gardner.
A memorial gathering will be Thursday March 17, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek. Interment will be private. Please view and sign the online guestbook at
