Clifford Eugene Campbell, age 71, passed away on December 4, 2024, in New Auburn, Wisconsin.
Clifford was born to Clifford and Marjorie (Sandal) Campbell on February 11, 1953, in Camp Rucker, Alabama.
Clifford had a passion for playing cards and enjoyed bowling, fishing, and hunting. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, always watching the games and cheering them on. Clifford cherished time spent with his family and was renowned for making the best deviled eggs. He was known for his impressive crossword puzzle skills. A proud Marine, Clifford served for four years, enlisting in 1971, and played a role in bravely helping bring refugees to safety during the Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Campbell, step-father, Donald Janota, brother, Robert Campbell, and great-nephews, Devin and Parker.
Clifford is survived by his mother, Marjorie Janota, daughter, Tashera (David) Laugart, grandson, Noah, and sisters, Gloria (Frank) Weinert, JoAnne (Brian) Schulz, Marie (Mike) Hegna, and Wanda (Mike) Christensen, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 12 at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek, Wisconsin at 12:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and go until the time of service. The family invites those attending to a luncheon following the service.
