Cynthia Jean (Hembrook) Turgeson
July 6, 1942 — March 25, 2016
Cynthia J. Turgeson, 73 of Chetek passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was born in Rice Lake July 6, 1942 the daughter of Virgil and Lenore (Carr) Hembrook.
Cynthia was a mother of three children and an excellent homemaker. She enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings at her home and spending time with her grandchildren.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, John; three children, David Johnson of Durango, Colorado, Amy (William) Toennes of Jordan, Minnesota, Michael Turgeson of New Richmond, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, Molly, Carly, Hayley, Erica, Kaitlin (Jarret), Rachael, Nathan; and one great-grandchild Dylan. She is also survived by her sister, Rhoda (Les) Haight of Clarkston, Michigan, brother-in-law, Al Smith other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents, first husband, David Johnson, sister, Carol Smith and grandson, Colin Johnson.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday March 31, 2016 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Guy Redfield officiating. Family and friends may gather from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Cynthia will be laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers are Scot Turgeson, Matt Smith, Rod Thome, Phil Smith, Nathan Turgeson, Travis Larson.
