Dale Norman Cole, 71 of Chetek, passed away in his home on Monday, November 28, 2011. Dale was born on August 29, 1940 in Chetek Township the son of Ivadell (Usher) and C.A. Cole.
Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, pitching horseshoes, bowling, shooting pool, campfires, spending time with hsi family and friends and with his extended VFW family. He also enjoyed sports, espeially the Packers, Badgers and Brewers.
Services for Dale will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at the Chetek Lutheran Church at 11:00 A.M.
Dale’s family will be greeting visitors on Wednesday, November 30 at the Burnham-Ours Funeral Home in Chetek from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. and the again at the church on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Rich Noeldner will officiate the service. The family would like to invite their guests to join them for fellowship and lunch following the service in the church fellowship hall. Dale will be laid to rest alongside his wife Darline at the Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek at a later date. Casket Bearers will be his grandsons: Michael Nelson, Adam Taft, Steven Cole, Mitchell Nelson, Christopher Hubbard and Landon Cole.
Dale leaves to celebrate his memory, children: Steven Cole, Dale A. Cole (Johanna), Roxanne Nelson (Kevin), Beth Cole (Scott), Kelly (Kim) Cole, Deanna Cole (Mark); grandchildren: Heide, Steven, Michael, Leann, Mitchell, Adam, Ashley, Andrea, Landon, LaKendra, Breanna, Christopher, Larissa, Brandi and Bailey; nine great grandchildren; brothers: Roger (Rosemary) Cole, Robert Cole (Margaret); nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by: his father C.A. Cole, mother, Ivadell "Tiny" (Usher) Cole - Skoug; wife, Darline (Davis) Cole; siblings: Gertrude Paulsrud, Ardith Janota, Delores Kerber and Kenneth Cole and one great grandson, Dylan Faschingbauer.
The Burnham-Ours Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
