Darlene J. (Johnson) Dietrich

Darlene June Dietrich, 76 of Chetek passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at her residence with her family by her side.  She was born in Northern Wisconsin May 23, 1942 the daughter of Elizabeth (Jerry) and Hallie Johnson.

Darlene was married to Karl Dietrich June 4, 1960 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.  Together they raised four children in Chetek.  Darlene loved her church circle, quilting, gardening, reading and her feral cats.  She also enjoyed word find puzzles and vacations in Door County with Karl.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 58 years, Karl, children; Thomas, Timothy, Susan (Warren, Sr.) Hazlewood, James, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings; Anna (Delmer) Holmstrom, Carol (Larry) Wenzel, Barb (Bill) Rust, Norman Johnson, Randy Johnson and David Johnson.  She is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter; Mary Ann, sister; Beverly Wenzel, brother; Larry Johnson.

Funeral Services for Darlene will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Chetek Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service.  She will be laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery privately.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
