Dona Barbara (Pierce) Javener

Dona Barbara Javener, 85, of Chetek, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Rice Lake with her loving family at her side.
Dona was born in Rice Lake on November 16, 1927 the daughter of Vernoy and Portia Pierce. She was an avid reader and took pride in raising her ten children. Dona loved to read and write letters to her friends as well as her pen pals through the years. Dona was an outgoing woman who rode motorcycle for the first time at the age of 83. Dona always loved to cook and bake and her favorite time of the year was Christmas. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #725 in Rice Lake.
She is survived by 10 Children, Cary(Lynne) Javener, Joy (Albert) Hansen, Bryan Javener, Mark (Mary) Javner, Kirk (Barbara) Javaner, Robson (Audry) Javener, Rodonna(James) Wood, Paul (Maryls) Javener, Delora(Steve) Williams, Charles (Leslie) Javener. Also survived by many Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Dona will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11:00 A.M at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek. Dona’s family will greet visitors on Sunday at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. and again on Monday for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Dona will be laid to rest at the Pleasant Plain Cemetery in Prairie Lake Township.
