Duane Henry Hart

Duane Henry Hart, 78, of Colfax; passed away in the early am Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Colfax Health & Rehab with many of his favorite employees at his side.
Duane was born March 22, 1938 in Eau Claire, WI the son of Eugene and Violet (Klukas) Hart. He was raised in the Colfax, WI area, where he spent most of his life. He married Alice Hill on January 27, 1962 at the Colfax Methodist Church. They moved to Chetek, WI in January 1979.
Duane is survived by: children Mary Ann (Rhalen) Mertz, Hallsville, TX; Rod (Debbie) Hart, Viola, MN; Pam (Paul) Olson, Little Rock, AR; Audra Bradley, Shell Lake, WI; Larry (Kathy) Aspen, Osseo, WI; eight grand children, nine great grand children, four great great grand children, many grand children in laws. A wonderful cousin and in-laws; Sally & Mike Schendel, Nancy & Dick Johnson, Mary & Don Fennie, Skip Hill & John & Nan Hill and many other family and friends. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Violet Hart and his wife Alice Hart.
The family would like to thank the staff at Colfax Health and Rehab for Duane's care and to the kitchen staff who would always find him something he would eat.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 21, with a visitation one hour prior at Christ Lutheran Church in Chetek.
Duane will be laid to rest at Hill Grove Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Aspen, Sannie Olson, Megan Mertz, Kiefer Olson, Brenden Mertz.
The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
