Edward Arthur Johnson, 86 of Chetek, Wisconsin passed away on January 11, 2012 at the Rivers Edge Assisted Living Facility in Chetek. Edward was born on June 16, 1925 in Cameron, Wisconsin the son of Oscar G. and Antoinette (Sirinek) Johnson.
Edward attended Greenwood school in rural Cameron. He was married to Ardella Smith on March 18, 1948 in Chetek. He was a farmer, carpenter and a Jack of all trades handyman in the Chetek and surrounding areas. He enjoyed fishing, camping and loved visiting with his family and friends.
Edward leaves to celebrate his memory; daughter, Marcia (Bob) Libersky, Chetek; son, Bruce (Jean) Johnson, Parks, AZ; sister, Mary Ann Larson, Rice Lake; brother, Oscar Johnson, Richfield, MN; nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ardella and his brother Rudie Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Burnham-Ours Funeral Home. The family will be greeting visitors from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Edward will be laid to rest alongside his wife at the Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek.
The family would like to invite their guests to join them for fellowship and lunch at the Chetek Lutheran Church following the service.
