Elaine (Higley) Zinsmaster

Elaine Zinsmaster, 90 years of age of Barron, Wisconsin and formerly of the Chetek area passed away on Saturday, August 06, 2011 at the Mayo Clinic Health Systems Nursing Home in Barron with her loving family at her side. Elaine was born on July 17, 1921 in Eleva, Wisconsin to Samuel and Edna (Rockwell) Higley. She was married to Donald Zinsmaster on July 25, 1938 at Holy Guardian Angels Church in Brackett, WI. Don and Elaine farmed together in Chetek until the time Don passed away in 1972. She then moved to Cameron in 1974.

Elaine leaves to celebrate her memory: son; Mike (Jan) Zinsmaster, Elk Mound, daughters; Rosemary Zinsmaster, Cameron, Sharon (Alan) Lien, Barron, grandchildren; Chris, Michele, Matthew, great grandchildren; Dylan, Michaela, Micah, Malachi, many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; Donald on February 17, 1972, her parents, brothers; Milo and Eddie Higley, sisters; Mae Moore and Florence Jackson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church in Cameron on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Father Jim Bartelme will celebrate. The family will greet visitors at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. Elaine will then be laid to rest alongside her husband, Donald at St. Boniface Cemetery in Chetek.
