Elizabeth Mary (Ryan) Simon

Elizabeth M. Simon, 92 of Chetek, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Atrium Post Acute Care of Chetek.  She was born on November 19, 1926 in Graceville, Minnesota the daughter of Elizabeth (Drewicke) and Daniel Ryan.

Elizabeth “Betty” married Wilfred Simon May 10, 1958 at Incarnation Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She enjoyed bowling, playing piano, watching her children participate in sports and music activities when they were younger and later watching her family grow.

Elizabeth leaves to celebrate her memory, children; Bruce Simon of Washington, D.C., Michael (Lori) Simon of Appleton, WI, Mary (Scott) McPherson of Annadale, MN, Joseph (Diane) Simon of St. Paul, MN, Richard (Cheryl) Simon of Rhinelander, WI, Annette Simon of Rockford, MN, Judy (Terry) Hamrock of Littleton, CO, grandchildren; BrieAnna Simon, Karie (Alec) Miller, Kayla Simon, Samantha Simon, Alyssa Simon, Sean Hamrock, Megan Hamrock, sister-in-laws; Joanie Ryan, Geraldine Ryan and other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilfred, two brothers, Lawrence and Robert Ryan.

A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Tilden, WI.  Father Mark Miller will be officiating.  Family and friends may gather from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment at St. Peters Cemetery following the Mass. Please join the family for continued fellowship and lunch in the church social hall.
