Eugene Anthony Gitzen
February 28, 1963 — August 21, 2015
Eugene (Gene/Geno) A. Gitzen, age 52 of Lake Elmo, MN passed away unexpectedly on 8/21/15 in Chetek, WI.
Geno had an unwavering positive attitude toward life and always found a way to make you feel good about yourself. He was always there if anyone needed anything. He was a proud father and taught his son well.
Geno was an avid bowler with five 300 games to his credit. He loved spending time at the cabin and at home with his son, Larry and faithful dog, Mikey.
Left behind to celebrate his life are his son, Larry Gitzen, parents Larry and Carol (Tucci) Gitzen, long-time friend and mother to his son, Julie (Ramberg) Firnstahl and husband Dave. Sisters Jenny Turner (Ryan), Kim Filipa (Cory), Susie Gitzen and Katie Gitzen. Also, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to count.
He remains with us and keeps us smiling. We will miss you, Geno.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at Pinz Bowling Center, 7520 32nd Street North, Oakdale, Minnesota.
The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
