Franklin Scott, 79, of Rusk Township, rural Chetek, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Knapp Haven Nursing Home in Chetek. Franklin was born on November 29, 1932 in Rusk County the son of Elmer R. and Hattie (Ballwohn) Scott.
Franklin was raised in Rusk Township where he also attended school. After his education he worked on the family farm with his parents and then taking over the family farm where he lived and worked his entire life. He was well known as the man who helmed the township grader. Franklin ran the Rusk Township grader for many years and along his travels he met many people and made many friends. He enjoyed hunting, trapping and spending time with his family and friends.
Franklin leaves to celebrate his memory, son, David Scott of Chetek; daughter, Kim (John) Wachs of Fremont, WI; and grandson Justin Wachs of Fremont, WI. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Hattie Scott and his wife Jewell.
The family will be greeting visitors on Saturday, April 14, from 1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. at the Rusk Township Town Hall to honor and celebrate the life of Franklin Scott.
Memorial donations preferred to the charity of your choice – in lieu of flowers.
The Burnham Ours Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
