Gary Johnson

Gary Johnson, 70, of Chetek, WI, formerly of North St. Paul, MN, passed away at the Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire, WI on August 20, 2021.

Gary was born on September 26, 1950, the son of Agnes and Lester Johnson in St. Paul, MN.

Gary was a huge Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. He was also an avid outdoorsman with a love for fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed singing, cooking, western films, and woodworking. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Lester Johnson, and his brother Steve Johnson.

Gary leaves to celebrate his memory, his wife of 50 years, Judy Johnson, his daughter April (Rick) Kershaw, granddaughters, Katelyn (Cory) Uhlendorf with a great-grandbaby to be, and Paige Kershaw, siblings, Jeff (Shirley) Johnson, Denise (Brad) Johnson, and Dan Johnson, and many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek, WI.
