Genevieve Delphine Kesseler, 100, of Chetek, passed away at the Knapp Haven Nursing Home on Monday, October 21, 2013. Genevieve was born on October 7, 1913 in Calumet City, IL the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Heynen.
Genevieve was a volunteer at the Knapp Haven Nursing Home for many years, a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chetek; she loved cooking, baking and babysitting. She especially loved babies. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends.
Genevieve leaves to celebrate her memory: daughter, Marilyn (Curtiss) White, Chetek; son, Willliam (Carol) Kesseler, Huntley, IL; grandchildren: Randy (Bonnie) Hill, Ryan (Lisa) Hill, Kenneth (Judy) Kesseler, Kathe (Joel) Zimmerman, Steven (Gina) Kesseler, Gregory (Joyce) Kesseler, step-grandchildren, Donald (Wendy) White, Jeffery (Sandra) White, several great grandchildren, step great grandchildren, step great-great grandchildren and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William John Kesseler, step granddaughter, Debra Duval, two brothers and one sister.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chetek. The family will greet visitors at the church on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
She will be laid to rest at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery following the Mass. The family would like to invite their guests to join them back at the church for lunch and fellowship following the cemetery service.
