Georgia Faye (Bearden) Saastad

Georgia Faye Saastad, age 87, passed away at Meadowbrook at Chetek, on June 26, 2023.

Georgia was born to Nervie and George Bearden on January 2, 1936, in Benton, Arkansas.

Georgia loved doing crosswords, watching her grandchildren grow up, and enjoying farm life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nervie and George Bearden, husbands, Carl Stewart and Clayton Saastad, brothers, Charles Bearden, George Bearden Jr., and Larry Bearden, sisters, Gracie Bearden, Margaret Thompson, and Mary Sherrill, sons, Victor Stewart and James (Rhonda) Stewart, and granddaughter, Sera Stewart.

Georgia is survived by her children, Kenneth (Emelly) Stewart, Randy (Connie) Saastad, Gary Saastad, Kevin Saastad, and Kathryn (Christopher) Johnson, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and brothers, Roy Lee Bearden, Donn Bearden, and Harold (Colleen) Bearden, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 7:30 PM at the Burnham-Ours Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 4:00 PM.

The Burnham-Ours Kolstad Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
