Geraldine “Gerrie” E. Brady, 78 of Chetek peacefully passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at Atrium Post Acute Care Center. She was born June 27, 1939 in Cornell, Wisconsin the daughter of Mildred (Cartwright) and George Pierce.
Gerrie married Leonard Brady September 15, 1957 at New Scandinavia Church in Maple Grove Township. Together they raised four children and worked their dairy farm “Triangle Corners” for many years in Chetek. Gerrie was employed as lead supervisor at Wright Products, Ben Franklin and owned/operated “The Main Place” craft store in Chetek. She was a member of Chetek Lutheran Church, enjoyed crafts and quilting, was the 4-H Leader-Prairie Lake Eagles, Cub Scout Leader and known for her infamous baked beans.
Gerrie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leonard, children; Dixie (Mike) Conoboy of Weyerhaeuser, Brian (LuAnn) Brady of Chetek, Roman (Veronica Gettler) Brady of New Auburn, 12 Grandchildren, many great grandchildren, siblings; Linda Langman of Chetek, David (Nicole) Langman of Scottsville, KY, Dale (Robin) Langman of New Boston, MO, Darlene (Richard) Kraft of Rice Lake and will be sadly missed by her dog “Daisy”. She is preceded in death by her son, James M. Brady, father, George Pierce, stepmother, Frances Pierce, mother, Mildred Langman, stepfather, Arthur Langman and great-great grandson, Alexander Derousseau.
Memorial services for Gerrie will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Chetek Lutheran Church with Pastor Guy Redfield officiating. Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at a later date. Please join the family for a luncheon and continued fellowship following the service in the church hall.
