Gladys Maxine (Hill) Kent

Gladys M. Kent 93 of Sioux Creek Township passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at her residence.  She was born October 18, 1925 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Gladys (Isaacks) and Andrew Hill.

Gladys graduated high school from Cleveland School 1943 in Cleveland, Texas. She married Robert “Bob” E. Kent and was a longtime resident of Baltimore, Maryland.  She was a telephone operator before she married Bob, then a homemaker raising their children.   Gladys and Bob moved to Chetek in 2013.

Gladys is survived by her children; Peggy (William) Matherly and Robert W. (K.C.) Kent both of Chetek, grandchildren; Richard (Vallerie) Vanderkolk, Jon W. Kent, Courtney (David) Chiveral, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one granddaughter Melissa Lehew.

Family and friends may gather for a visitation Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Burnham-Ours Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 P.M.  Gladys will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville, Maryland.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
