Gloria Elizabeth (Gotham) Morley

Gloria E. Morley, 90 of Chetek passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Lake Mary, Florida.  She was born in Rice Lake, Wisconsin the daughter of Gerald and Iva (Grilley) Gotham.

Born and raised in the Chetek area, she served in the US Navy during World War II.  During her years in Michigan she was active in the PTA and was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader.  She was active in the United Methodist Church and worked as the Church Secretary for many years.  She was a member of the DAR and Mayflower Society

She is survived by her 4 daughters; Kathleen (David Terp) Morley of Sachse, Texas; Roberta (Ralph) Morley-Inger of Davenport, Florida; Jan (Randy) Pusey of Winchester, California, Lisa (Kevin) Baker of Eustis, Florida; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Colleen Makela.  Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Robert “Bryce” Morley, son; David Morley and 2 sisters.

A memorial service for Gloria is currently being planned for 11:00 A.M. at Chetek United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 29, 2015 with Pastor Carrie Hamm officiating.  Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service at church.  Gloria will be buried at Lakeview Cemetery alongside her husband, Bryce.  Following the interment, please join the family for continued fellowship and a luncheon at the church.
