Gordon Charles Lee Jr, known as Bud age 89 of Chetek, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at his Lee family home.
He was born May 12, 1935 in Superior, Wisconsin, son of the late Gordon and Crystal Lee. Bud grew up in northern Wisconsin and was an only son with four sisters. He graduated from Chetek High School in 1953 and spent several semesters studying at North Central Bible college in Minneapolis, MN. He served in the army for 2 years with basic training in El Paso, TX and San Diego, CA and was stationed in Long Island, NY. He dedicated his life to the Lord as a young adult and faithfully served in his church and community. Bud married Ellen Walker at the Assembly of God Church, in Rice Lake, WI on July 9, 1960.
Bud and Ellen had six children and enthusiastically embraced all their cousins, friends and neighbors on any given occasion. He was a loyal, honest and wise man who was always willing to go the extra mile to support others. He studied and became a skilled lineman working to build and or repair electric lines and towers all over Wisconsin and MN until he dedicated himself full-time to farming. Bud was a fun, loving, extremely knowledgeable and interesting person who was friendly with everyone.
Bud always expressed deep thankfulness to have lived a truly blessed life that reflects the truth of Psalms chapter one, 'Blessed is the one who delights in the Lord, that person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.’
He was an exemplary husband, father, and grandfather of integrity, wisdom, and generosity, who taught us the high value of living by faith, honesty, and sharing the many blessings we received. Bud will always be remembered, honored and greatly missed by his loving family and friends.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and sister Norma and son Daniel Merle.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen, and children, Tom and Susan, Miriam and Mark, Andrew and Shannon, Jon and Melissa, Sarah and Cory, also 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and beloved sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
