Inez I. Holter, 96, of New Auburn, Wisconsin passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Maplewood Nursing Home in Bloomer, Wisconsin. Inez was born on July 24, 1915 in Barron, Wisconsin the daughter of John and Gena (Hanson) Wold.
She attended school in Barron and graduated from Barron High School. She married George Holter on June 9, 1937 in Barron, Wisconsin. After their marriage the couple farmed on the Holter Family Farm in the Dovre Township their entire lives. Inez lived on the family farm until entering the Maplewood Nursing Home in Bloomer. Inez was a loving wife and mother; always seeing her family was taken care of. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren and her family. She will be dearly missed. She was a member of Dovre Lutheran Church, Dovre Lutheran Ladies Aid and the women’s circle.
She leaves to celebrate her memory: son, Gerald (Jean) Holter, New Auburn; daughter; Marilyn Holter, New Auburn; grandchildren, Jeff (Maria), Hastings, MN, Kayla, New Auburn; great grandchildren, Jose' and Marian; Hastings, MN, sister, Ethel Rasmussen, Barron, WI, numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends. Inez was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George on December 7, 2008; brother, Arnold Wold; sisters, Helen Johnson and Bernice Wells.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Dovre Lutheran Church with Pastor Richard Noeldner officiating. Music will be provided by the Sir Arthur Court-tet and organist, Pat Hogan. Casket Bearers will be David Rasmussen, Bruce Rasmussen, Jon Pecha, Eddie Pecha, Les Nelson, and Bryce Harelstad.
The family will greet visitors at the Burnham-Ours Funeral Home, Chetek, WI on Tuesday, Feburary 7, from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. and again at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
The family would like to invite their guests to join them for fellowship and luncheon following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Inez will be laid to rest alongside her husband George at the Dovre Lutheran Church Cemetery.
