Jane Frances (Metcalf) Jasperson

Jane Frances Jasperson, 83 of Chetek passed away at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake, on Tuesday December 29, 2015.  Jane was born March 12, 1932 in Radisson, Wisconsin to Roy and Amy Metcalf.

Jane and Harley were married August 7, 1954, raised five children and shared a wonderful life.  They lived in Finland, Minnesota and Silver Bay, Minnesota for 34 years then retired to Chetek.  Jane loved living in their home on Prairie Lake.  Harley and Jane had many good times there with family and friends. They also enjoyed wintering in Yuma, Arizona for 25 years.  Jane was an excellent homemaker and liked nothing more than cooking for friends and family.  Her pies and doughnuts were famous to all who knew her.  She enjoyed playing games, especially cribbage.  She was a very caring, thoughtful person who always put others first. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years Harley, five children; Sheryl (Vane) Hoff, Rhonda (Tom) Nelson, Julie (Steve Maertens) Knoll, Todd (Cathy), Tami (Randy) Duke, twelve grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  Also survived by two siblings; Don (Pat) Metcalf and Florence (Max) Bergen; special sister-in-law and friend Lucy Metcalf and Rod Zachary.  Jane is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Gordon, Bill and Fritz Metcalf and one sister Jean Albrecht.

A memorial service for Jane will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 2 at Chetek Lutheran Church with Pastor Guy Redfield officiating.  Family and friends may gather for one hour prior to the service.  Please join the family for continued fellowship and luncheon in the Church fellowship hall.  Inurnment will be held privately.  View and sign the online guestbook at www.burnhamours.com .
