Janell M (Gardner) Severson

Janell Severson, 89, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2023.

Janell was born on February 22, 1934, to Charlie and Clara Gardner.

Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved sister and aunt. Her bright light and big heart left us too soon, but we will remember her warmth, love, and generosity.

Janell grew up in the Dallas/Chetek area. After high school, she worked at the ABC Factory for a number of years before going to school and earning an associate's degree. Janell continued her education by going to cosmetology school in Eau Claire. Janell worked as a hair designer for many years in Barron and Rice Lake.

Janell married Thomas Severson and they were happily married until his passing.

She is survived by her sisters Charlotte Coleman (Chetek, WI) and Cheryl Treinen (Bozeman, MT). Janell has numerous nieces and nephews who have been very important in her life.

Janell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Severson, sister Lolita Walsh, and brothers Gale, Norval, Norland (Skip), and Clifford Gardner. As well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
