Jeanette Ann (Andrews) Hurtis

Jeanette Ann Hurtis, 87, of Chetek, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at the Heritage Lakeside Nursing Home in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.  Jeanette Andrews was born on October 10, 1934, in Merrillan, Wisconsin the daughter of Mary and George Andrews.

Jeanette was a produce farmer, she enjoyed raising the produce and visiting with her customers.  She enjoyed picking mushrooms, gardening, going to the casino, playing cards, dancing, canning, and old time music.  She loved animals, particularly her dogs.  Jeanette will be dearly missed.

She leaves to celebrate her memory: her sons, David Hurtis, Barron, WI; Gary (Corrine Anderson) Hurtis, Chetek, WI; and Jerry (Cindy Davis) Hurtis, Chetek, WI, son-in-law, Roger Butterfield, New Auburn, WI; grandchildren: Michael, Kim (Rodd) and Kristy (Chris), great-grandchildren: Ethan, Lilly, Kate, Maddy, and Kyle.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and George, her husband, Arthur Hurtis, daughter, Debbie Butterfield, grandsons, Steven and Kyle, and 10 siblings.

The funeral service for Jeanette will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Chetek Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.  She will be laid to rest at Twin Lake Cemetery in Chippewa County following the service.
