Jerry Lee Whitworth

Jerry Lee Whitworth, 76 formally of Chetek, WI passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at Red Wing Health Care Community in Red Wing, Minnesota. He was born June 29, 1937 in Peoria, Illinois to Lily (Smith) and Robert Whitworth.
Jerry retired from Keystone Steel in Peoria, Illinois after 34 years of service. He spent most of his time gardening, fishing and hunting throughout his life, and he had served on the city counsel as the Mayor of Chetek 2004-2008.
Jerry is survived by his brother Arthur Whitworth of Peoria, IL, one sister-in-law Willa Whitworth of Bloomington, IL, nieces and nephews; Mary Ann (Michael) Whiteside of Akeley, MN, James (LaDonna) Whitworth of Mandeville, LA, Katherine Pfeiffer of Pekin, IL, Roberta (Charles) Faulkner of Peoria, IL, Lynne (Gregg) Eckdale, of Bloomington, IL, R.J. (Kathy) Whitworth of Bloomington, IL and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and lifelong partner Betty Pratt, brothers, John and Russell Whitworth.
A memorial gathering will be from 5-7 P.M. Monday, June 23, 2014 at Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home. The burial will take place at a later date in Swan Lake Cemetery, Peoria, Illinois.
