John George Breckner, 72, of Cameron, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, September 04, 2011 at his home with his loving family at his side. John was born on June 20, 1939 in Chicago, IL the son of George Nicholas and Myrtle (Erickson) Breckner.
John attended school and graduated from Chetek High School in 1958. He was employed by UPS for 27 ½ years and retired in 1991. He was married to Nancy Teed on July 7, 1973 at Faith Lutheran Church in Cameron.
John was involved in scouting, barber shop chorus and was a member of First Lutheran Church in Barron. He enjoyed his hobbies; fishing, hunting, woodworking and traveling with his wife Nancy.
John leaves to celebrate his memory, wife; Nancy, daughter; Lori, sons; Erik, Jeff and Jim, brother; Kenneth, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother; Myrtle on June 2, 1994 and father; George on April 6, 1972.
Funeral services for John will be held at the First Lutheran Church in Barron, Wisconsin on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Bruce Beyer will officiate and music will be provided by Jim Forsman and Roger Jones. John’s family will greet visitors at the church on Friday from 12 Noon until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.
The family wishes to invite their guests for fellowship and luncheon following the service.
