Joshua Dennis “Nellie” Olson, 36, of Chetek, WI passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Barron, WI. Josh a.k.a “Nellie” was born August 21, 1975 in El Paso, Texas the son of Dennis and Debra (Robinson) Olson.
Nellie loved hunting with his dad, and spending time with family and friends. He cherished his time with his children. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and a cold beer. Nellie lived life to the fullest. He loved his dog, Mollie and cats, Bob, Mister, and Junior.
Nellie was to be married to Jean Morneau on the date of their five year anniversary, December 1, 2012.
Josh “Nellie” leaves to celebrate his memory, fiancé and best friend, Jean Morneau of Chetek; daughters, Katy Kallenbach of Barron and Bailee Olson of Prairie Farm; son, Mason Becker-Olson of Sauk City; father, Dennis Olson of Chetek; brother, Kevin (Danette) Olson of Sauk City; niece, Kasey of Sauk City; nephews, Nik and Wyatt of Sauk City, and Beau of Dallas; mother-in-law, Faith Morneau of Fond du Lac; father-in-law, Steve Morneau (Lynn) of Dallas; special aunt, Sharon Meister of Chetek; in-laws, Joel (Jackie) Loofboro of Dallas; special friends, Greg (Carol) Meisner of Chetek; aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts, great uncles, many other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Olson (November 21, 2009); aunt, Susan Taft; uncle, Donald Robinson; cousin, Eric Taft; maternal and paternal grandparents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Burnham Ours Funeral Home in Chetek. Josh’s family will be greeting visitors at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service. There will be a time of fellowship following the service at Caddy Shack Bar & Grill, 1011 25-25 ¼ Street, Chetek 54728. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Robinson, Steve Morneau, John Taft, Kurt Warden, Kenny Melrose, Greg Meisner, Joel Loofboro and Kevin Haugestuen.
