Joyce Ardis (Keller) Williams
August 29, 1926 — February 14, 2017
Joyce Ardis (Keller) Williams, age 90 peacefully passed away at her home in rural Chetek on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2017. Joyce was born to Archie and Olive (Thompson) Keller on August 29, 1926.
She married Dwayne Williams on December 6, 1943 in Pine City, Minnesota. She graduated from Chetek High School with the Class of 1944. Dwayne and Joyce lived on various western army posts with Joyce returning to the Keller farm to wait the war’s end while Dwayne was deployed overseas. Joyce retired from Northwest Telephone Company.
Joyce is survived by her husband of seventy-three years, Dwayne; sons Dean and Dennis (Rachel); grandchildren: Grant (Shelly), Clark (Ann), Lisa (Jason), Cody and Leah; great-grandchildren: Sydney, Liam, Kellen, Connor, Judith, Kate, Luke, Grace and Thomas. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son Gary and daughter-in-law Rhonda. She had a passion tending to her flower gardens, her family and the Lord.
A Memorial Service for Joyce & Dwayne will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday June 3, 2017 at Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Martin officiating. Family and friends may gather for one hour prior to the service. Join the family for continued fellowship at the American Legion Post #179 following the service. Interment will be private.
