Judith Ann (Nielsen) Bishop

Judith Ann (Nielsen) Bishop, age 80, passed away on August 11, 2022, in the Marshfield Clinic in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

Judith was born to Mabel and Lester Nielsen on September 8, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois.

Judith moved to Chetek, Wisconsin, when she was young and fell in love with the town while growing up here. She enjoyed reading and watching baseball, her favorite team to watch was the New York Yankees. Judith loved to go out and eat with her friends she had made while she was back in high school. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Judith had a very special connection with her Australian Shepherd, Blue, cherishing every moment they spent together. Judith will be greatly missed by many.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Lester Nielsen, her daughter, Karen Back, and her brother, Don Nielsen.

Judith leaves to celebrate her memory, her loving husband, John Bishop, children, Susan (Jim) Block and Jim (Karla) Back, step-children, Joe Bishop and Patty Shellenberger, grandchildren, Karen Back, Tony Block, Gabby Klisch, Virginia Block, Maddy Block, Nicholas Block, Emily Block, Spencer Putney, Stevie Mott, and Alyssa, Gina, Bobbie, and Dennis Shellenberger, great-grandchildren, Thea and Weston Block, Finnley and Nadia Klisch, Noah Bishop, and Cordell Soler, as well as many other loving family and friends.

A visitation will be held at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral home on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. A Memorial Luncheon will be held at the Airport Park Pavilion in Chetek following the visitation.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
