Karen Alvida (Ness) Purintun

Karen A. Purintun, age 73, of Chetek passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Lake View Medical Center in Rice Lake. She was born July 6, 1943 in Barron, the daughter of Henry and Gladys (Nelson) Ness.
Karen married Charles Purintun May 21, 1966 in Arland, Wisconsin. She was a homemaker, raised 6 children, was a member of the American Legion Auxillary in Chetek and the Chetek United Methodist Church.
Karen is survived by her children, Larry (Kelly) of Almena, Mary Rasmussen of North Carolina, Marie (Bob) Bunker of Blaine, MN, Leah (John) Carrick of Phoenix, AZ, Loren (Debbie) of Cameron, LeRoy (Peggy) of Dallas, 27 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Kenneth and daughter-in-law, Darlene Purintun.
A memorial service for Karen will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 10, 2017 at First Lutheran Church in Arland, Wisconsin with visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Join the family for continued fellowship and a luncheon in the church hall following the service. Inurnment will take place 2:00 P.M. at Lake View Cemetery in Chetek after the luncheon.
