Kurt Paul Nyberg

Kurt Paul Nyberg, 53, of Chetek, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Atrium Post Care Center in Chetek.  Kurt was born on July 7, 1966 in Chisago City, Minnesota the son of John and Patricia (O’Brien) Nyberg.

“Kurt was a loving son, brother, cousin, and uncle. He was fun spirited, outgoing, and loved to socialize. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was the “life” of any social gathering as soon as he walked into a room with his contagious smile. He was very resourceful and one may say, “he was the squeaky wheel that always got the oil.”  He would volunteer his assistance for any job at hand and help coordinate. Kurt loved a nice steak dinner with wine and especially with Johnny Cash music in the background in the company of family and friends.  He was playful and always surprised us. He enjoyed gardening and landscaping. Kurt was employed in the food service, plumbing, and retail sales fields. He will be deeply missed.”

Kurt was preceded in death by his parents.  He leaves to celebrate his memory: his brother, Clifford Nyberg, Barron, WI; sisters, Janine (Thomas) Ellison, Palmdale, CA; Connie Coger, Hemet, CA; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

A funeral service for Kurt will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Chetek Lutheran Church with John Kurschner officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 A.M.  Kurt will then be laid to rest at the Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek.

The Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home of Chetek has been entrusted with arrangements.
