Leo Louis Puig, 88 of Chetek passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Leo was born on January 13, 1928 in Ashland, Wisconsin the son of Elizabeth and Edward Puig.
Leo was raised in Herbster, Wisconsin and graduated from South Shore High School. After his education he moved to Schiller Park, IL where he worked for Quasar Electronics for many years before retiring and moving to Chetek where he drove milk truck and tended bar at the Spot and Oaside Supper Club in Bloomer. He enjoyed watching his granddaughters and their teams compete in basketball and dance. He will be dearly missed.
Leo leaves to celebrate his memory: daughter, Sharon (Ron) Hrycyk, Schaumburg, IL; son, Gary (Linda) Puig, Chetek, WI; grandchildren, Ronni, Kristie, Nicole, Brian, Kendra, Kerri and Kelley, great grandchildren, Blake and Bryce, his four sisters, Rose, Alice, Mary and Alvina, also nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Edward Puig and eight brothers.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 12:30 P.M. at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek. Leo’s family will greet visitors at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 A.M.
