Leonard Thomas Miller

Leonard T. Miller, 65, of Chetek.  Passed away March 3, 2013 at Benedictine Living Center, Spooner, WI.  He was born August 27, 1947 in Harvey, Illinois the son of Leo and Virginia M. (Wulfekuhle) Miller.

On October 11, 1969 Leonard married April May Burress in Chicago, Illinois and together they had 2 children Clint and Jason Miller.  Leonard served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1968.  He was a lifetime member of the Chetek VFW Post #10331.  Leonard worked in maintenance until his retirement.   His dream was to one day move permanently to the Northwoods in Wisconsin. In 1985 he moved to Chetek with his wife and family. He had a passion to work outdoors, especially in the woods.  He enjoyed spending time with his wife April and four grandchildren.

Leonard is survived by his beloved wife, April M. Miller;  Loving Father of Clint (Heather) and Jason (Melissa) Miller;   Proud Grandfather of Amber, Aaron, Bella and Harper Miller;  Precious son of Virginia Mae Miller;  Fond brother of Agnes Miller, Debbie Butzler and Doris Miller.  He is preceded in death by his Father, Leo Miller; sister, Angeline Miller and granddaughter, Ava Miller.

A Memorial Service for Leonard will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 6:00 P.M. at the Burnham-Ours-Kolstad Family Funeral Home in Chetek, Deacon Michael Cullen officiating.  A memorial gathering will be held one hour prior to the service. Leonard’s cremains will be buried at a later date.
