Lloyd "Snoball" Severud, 95 of Chetek passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Snoball was born on May 28, 1916 in Dallas, Wisconsin the son of Norval and Hannah Severud. He was raised in the Chetek area and graduated from the Chetek High School. He served in the United States Marines during WWII. He was married to Dorothy Timm on June 7, 1941. His passion was ski jumping and at one time coached for the United States and Canadian Olympic Ski Jumping Teams. He is also a member of the United States Ski Hall of Fame.
Llloyd is survived by his sons, Todd Severud, married to Phyllis, Rice Lake, WI, Timothy Timm, married to Lori, Woodland Park, CO, Rick Timm, San Diego, CA, grandson, Craig Severud, married to Shannon, Rice Lake, WI, and their children, Albany, Stella, Christian and his sister, Rachel Mikkelson, New Hope, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy, infant daughter, Lenore and son Timm.
A private family interment is being scheduled.
