Lorraine D. Solberg, 85 of Chetek passed away Wednesday August 3, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chetek, Wisconsin. She was born August 24, 1930 in Glidden, Wisconsin the daughter of James and Esther (Henthorn) Hill.
Lorraine loved going to the cabin in Minong and going fishing (but never eating the fish). She enjoyed tending her plants, playing dice and card games with family, antiquing, sewing and crafting, collecting fenton, Christmas baking and trips with Palmer to LasVegas. She also greatly enjoyed their trip to Hawaii in 1993 and to Washington State.
Lorraine is survived by her husband of 67 years, Palmer Solberg, children; Linda (Andy) Anderson of Chetek, Donald Solberg of Colfax, Darla Garner of Chetek, Barbara (Kevin) Haller of Barron, Brad Solberg of California, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Esther Hill, one grandson Joshua Turgeson, Three brothers, Jimmy, Duane, and Russell; five sisters, Norma, Fern, Marie, Audrey and Garnita.
Funeral Service for Lorraine will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 6, 2016 at Chetek Lutheran Church with Pastor Guy Redfield officiating. Friends and family may gather one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Cameron. Pallbearers will be Aaron Miller, Andrew Anderson, Mitch Turgeson, Justin Turgeson, Justin Haller and Nick Haller.
