Lucille Jane (Seever) Gillett

February 19, 1924 — July 6, 2014

Lucille Jane Gillett, 90 of Chetek passed away at Knapp Haven Nursing Home in Chetek on Sunday, July 6, 2014.  She was born on February 19, 1924 to John and Permelia Seever in Tomahawk, WI.

Lucille married Duane Gillett on February 26, 1945. Together they farmed northwest of Chetek where they raised two sons, Dale and Harlan.  She truly enjoyed the farm and its rewards and challenges throughout the years.  After retirement, Lucille had more free time to spend dancing and make many new friends and memories.  Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.   She always looked forward to spending time with them, especially when she could keep them for a few days.

Lucille is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Rita Gillett of Eau Claire, grandchildren; Steven (Kim) Gillett, Sandra (Paul) Nettesheim, Gregory (Kerri) Gillett, Alissa (Jeff) Retzlaff and David (Angela) Gillett, great-grandchildren; Connor, Katelyn, Megan and Addison.  She is also survived by her sisters Dorothy Francois, Genny Bartels, sisters-in-law Lois Bilodeau, Doris Gouker, Phyllis Gillett other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Duane, son, Harlan, brothers, Alvin, Norman, Malcolm, Henry, Duane and one sister Bernice.

A graveside service will be Friday, July 11, 2014 at Lake View Cemetery in Chetek with Pastor Carrie Hamm officiating.  Please meet at the cemetery at 11:30 A.M.  Join the family for a luncheon and continued fellowship at Chetek Methodist Church following the service.
