Margery Ellen (Edwards) Chambers

Margery Ellen Chambers, 90, of Rice Lake, formerly of the Chetek area passed away after a rich and beautiful life on March 7, 2015 at Woodstone Assisted Living in Rice Lake.  Margery was born on April 2, 1924 in Fairmont, MN the daughter of Kenneth and Grace Edwards.

Marge grew up in Fairmont, Minnesota where she met the love of her life, Dick Chambers. From Fairmont MN, to Itasca and Bloomington, to Naples, Florida and beyond, she, "Norman," and their two children Caryl and Reg lived adventurously and fearfully, making the most of any situation. She was a lover of adventure, including many travels to Ireland, Germany, Italy and Hawaii. Her and her husband both shared a great love of tennis, as well as beach-combing, sand dollars, fishing, ice-cream, Frank Sinatra, the color blue and Gone with the Wind. She was a fabulous maker of the best chicken and biscuits and strawberry jam you've ever tasted. She lived a kind and humble life, creating friendships from Minnesota to Florida, Wisconsin and beyond. She was a wonderful wife, mom, "gram", education enthusiast, caring spirit, fabulous cook and kind soul. Her warm heart will forever be missed. Thank you for enriching our lives, always making us laugh, and teaching us to be strong.  L.R. - you will never be forgotten.

Preceded in death by her husband Richard (Dick) "Norman" Chambers and son Reg Chambers. Survived by her daughter Caryl Chambers; granddaughter Joee Gohs and husband Jarrid Gohs with great-grandchildren Hoyt and Hendrix Gohs and granddaughter Katie Chambers and daughter-in-law Ann Chambers.



A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10 A.M. at Chetek Lutheran Church.  Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:00 A.M. at the church.  Following the service the family invites their guests to join them for brunch and fellowship in the church basement.
